About the Symposium

The South Dakota Law Review held its annual Symposium April 1, 2016. That year’s topic was “Asset Protection and Trust Innovations: South Dakota’s Role in Paving the Way for Innovations Nationwide.” The Symposium was held at the University of South Dakota School of Law Courtroom and began at approximate 9 a.m., ending at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Keynote speaker was Jay Adkisson of Riser Adkisson LLP who has written several books on the topic of asset protection; most notably: “Asset Protection: Concepts and Strategies for Protecting Your Wealth.” The Symposium also featured a full docket of prominent speakers ranging from practitioners to professors from across the nation.
The Symposium was approved for continuing legal education credit in both Nebraska and Iowa. Those attending are eligible for up to four hours of continuing legal education.
Location, Map, and Parking Information
All sessions of the Asset Protection and Trust Innovations Symposium took place in the Courtroom of the University of South Dakota School of Law. The Law School is located on Cherry Street across the parking lot from the Muenster University Center.
