Darla Jackson - Law Library Director
Darla Jackson is the Director of the University of South Dakota McKusick Law Library. Prior to joining USD, she served as the Associate Director of the Oklahoma City University Law Library and Director, Certificate in American Law Program. Before beginning her career in legal education, she served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. During her service in the Air Force, she was stationed at numerous bases and performed a variety of military justice, international operations, and civil law (government procurement) functions. Additionally, she taught at the U.S. Air Force Academy Department of Law.

Marsha Stacey - Asst. Director of the Law Library
Marsha Stacey is the Associate Director of the University of South Dakota McKusick Law Library. She joined the USD staff in 2010 and served as Interim Director of the Law Library from 2010 - June 2012. Marsha Stacey graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1986. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Peder K. Ecker, former United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of South Dakota. She has practiced law privately and as an Assistant United States Attorney in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota’s Debtor-Creditor Committee.

Gordana Filipovic - Acquisitions and Accounting
Gordana Filipovic has been a member of the law library staff since 2007. She is responsible for purchasing materials for the collection and performing the accounting function. She also serves as a library liaison for law faculty members. Prior to joining the the law library, she worked with the library staff at the USD's I.D. Weeks Library.

Karyl Knodel - Serials Librarian
Karyl Knodel began work as a Library Technician at USD in the McKusick Law Library in June 1975 and became serials librarian in 1982. In her 37 years of service, she has been responsible for the receipt, processing and tracking of serials publications and preparing them for patron use.

Sarah Kammer - Temporary Library Assistant
Sarah Kammer is a Temporary Library Assistant with the USD McKusick Law Library. She serves patrons of the library at the Circulation/Reference Desk and assists staff members with a variety of projects. She previously volunteered at the USD McKusick Law Library during the 2012-2013 academic year, and has also volunteered at the University of Nebraska Schmid Law Library and the Nebraska State Library in Lincoln, Nebraska. Sarah worked part-time in the reference department at the Lewis & Clark Boley Law Library in Portland, Oregon prior to moving to South Dakota. She has also been employed as an intellectual property attorney in Cleveland, Ohio and as an attorney and office manager in a general practice firm in Lincoln, Nebraska.
