Restrooms and Vending Machines

Restrooms are located on the main level of the library in a short hallway by Room 129.  Additional restrooms are located in the same general location on both the Upper Level and the Lower Level of the Law Library.  Additional restrooms are available in the main vestibule of the Law School, near the Davenport Student Commons.

Vending machines are located in the Davenport Student Commons.


Welcome to the Library!

The purpose of this guide is to familiarize you with the services offered by the Library and answer any questions you might have.


During the academic year, the McKusick Law Library is open to the general public Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   During the summer, the McKusick Law Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The McKusick Law Library is affiliated with the University of South Dakota Law School and is a leading legal research facility in the four-state area.  Home to more than 200,000 volumes as well as key legal electronic resources, the Library serves the students and faculty of the Law School as well as attorneys, alumni, and members of the general public. 


The McKusick Law Library is located on the first floor of the Law School building on the USD campus in Vermillion.  

For a map of the USD Campus, please click here.  Parking for the general public is available in the parking lot shown on the map directly to the east of the Law School building, which is accessible from Cherry Street.  There are also a limited number of visitor parking spaces to the west of the building, accessible from Dakota Street.
